oldSushi Blurb

joe	OK - I'm going to bring back oldSushi Blurb this week. It will be a 'seperate site', in that it wont be an integral part of this one. The location will be the same as before, http://blurb.oldsushi.com - and it will act as its own Japan Blog with lots of categories (which will replace the button links that used to sit at the top of the old site). Items from Blurb will be included in this site via RSS, a system already in place. That way this site gets the news as it comes in, and the Blurb site benefits from its own glory... Sound good? As for the front page of this site - its work in progress. The current image sitting there is just because I cant think of quite what to put there yet :D 2007-08-26 02:41:25
joe	OR... make it as part of this site, and make EVERYONE a member so anyone can post news etc. and make a Select few (the current authors) Administrators, who can moderate nasty news or silly things that people might write... ? That might be a better option... 2007-08-26 02:52:39
aniki	as always, number 2 sounds much more fun. RSS would suck, as it wouldnt allow for pictures and videos, at least the way you have rss imports set up it wouldnt. so thats why i say 2. also, its important to draw people into the site. on its own, its nothing, people wont go to a specific separate site just to read the blurbs.... but if it was part of this site, they love the extra feature. as long as im an admin, ofcourse. man, i cant wait for everyone to come back from hols and start using this thing. thatll really stress test it eh... 2007-08-26 12:38:18
joe	yer man bring on the stress tests! I have to agree with keeping it part of the site now that I think about it. And allowing everyone rights to add articles could bulk up the amount of good stuff getting posted. Will do that this week. Im having a day off today, its Sunday and ive got the worst hangover... was slamming sambucas till the early hours... 2007-08-27 02:49:21
