Where do I sell my stuff in Kyoto?

Hey all,

I`m having to go home this March and was wondering if any one has a clue on where I can sell all my furniture and stuff in Kyoto.

If anyone is interesting in buying any of my things please contact me on this site. I have everything you can possibly think of from curtains, futons, kettle, toaster, washing machine, fridge, iron, cooking equipment, bike, cute little dresser (that i wish i could take home), and lots more.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you :O)

Love Soozshi :O)

If you could take photos and post them on here along with asking prices etc, that would probably help.

If that sounds like too much effort, and you dont care how much you get, then seek out your local second hand goods shop. Assuming there is a decent amount of decent stuff (maybe take some photos to shows them) they will come round and assess/pick it up for you.

If you dont mind getting zero and just wanna get rid of the stuff, try giving it away to a fellow worker who will be staying. That way, when n00bs come they can just grab a bunch of stuff.

I am so not looking forward to shipping all my books back. I can't decide if I should ship clothes and carry books on the plane or vice versa. My Dad offered to come down to Japan to help me pack and carry  more luggage on the plane for me, which is sweet, but I am going to have to leave here on my own terms.

Yeah, I'm leaving to be mean to all the friends I made here. Actually there are a number of people I'd like to take back to Canada with me. I'm not sure I can fit you all in my suitcases though. I am not 100% happy about leaving, but I am not 100% happy with staying either.

Well I'm 100% unhappy that you are leaving. Definitely send all your winter clothes home well beforehand. Use one of the vaccuum bags. For the books, I'd start sending them by seamail early. Takes about 2-3 months for them to arrive.

I would happily pay the cost to ship you back to Canada with me if I thought you would survive the vacuume bagging. Hunting and trapping you would be loads of fun! Aniki are you 100% moving in after me in August?

Well, since I dont want to pay anyone key money again, yes. How does one take a shower in the morning at your place? The bathroom rage must be mentalist.

The bathroom is a very civilized affair, at least in terms of sharing. Kurogoma is usually up first and thus has his shower first. Then me. LIK has classes later than us so we don't usually see him in the morning, but if we do he is usually after me. Contrary to rumours about my gender I am capable of taking quick showers. Each of us usually doesn't take more than 10-15 min each.  I was really asking to see if you want any of my furniture, free of charge of course. You can't have my computer. LIK already asked for it and I turned him down too.
