Does anyone know of cheap flights to England from tokyo as cant seem to find any flights under $1600.

go on the BritishAirways.com website and check your dates... if you can get off earlly - like by the 18th of Dec you can get a reasonable price... I'm off for a month and wasn't too constricted so for the dates 18 dec to 17 jan, I found a total price of  about 108,000

but if you are just going for a short trip at peak dates (after 20 dec to around 8 jan) then you are going to be paying up to 200,000...

discount flights - try them on the phone and sort of push the operator that you want the cheapest flight... they may find you  something not on the websites...

bear in mind that with the current oil prices, the gasoline surcharges and all are meaning that the non-direct flights - via thailand/korea etc etc are hardly cheaper than direct flights (i presume because you end up paying for more gasoline - two take-offs and landings consume a lot more oil)
