Mitsutaka Uchikoshi survived 24 October days on a mountain above Kobe without food or water. Apparently he tripped and hit his head while descending the mountain and fell into an unusual hypothermic state. Doctors are stunned that he lived at such a low body temperature and survived without water.
"I find it quite incredible that [Mr Uchikoshi] had no fluid at all," Dr Frankie Phillips said. "Physiologically that isn't possible."
