Headed in to Tokyo on the weekend, and checked out Tokyo Disney Land on Monday during the Spring vacation. Was pretty excited to go there with 3 friends, expecting a fun time to be had by all... how mistaken we were!
Now maybe it was that particular day, maybe it was due to the holidays, but there was nothing so magical about Disney on that day! 3 hour waiting lines, hords of people waiting for everything from the popcorn vendors to the toilets, and a general lack of organization on the whole.
At one point my friend turned to me while we were lining up waiting for some food and said "hey Joe, this is Disney Land right, an 'amusement park', take a look around, theres not a smiling face in sight!" - and he was right. Surrounding me must have been at least a thousand people, and not one of them was smiling!! Everybody just looked tired and fed up, and this was at mid-day at DISNEY LAND! Even the staff were unfriendly and short with us!
Kids were sleeping, older kids were playing their on their DS, one couple we passed were actually having an argument with the guy asking his date "whats wrong, you've been like this all day!" At one point we even saw two girls sitting in the middle of the street reading manga to pass the time!
Now I dont know whats to blame here, but one thing for sure is Tokyo DL's inability to handle such a large amount of people. In the States, even in the UK, we have fast pass systems that allow you to grab a ticket and come back later, meaning you have to wait for an hour at most for the best rides.
The Tokyo system is first line up for that fast pass ticket, get it for one ride, and then once you get it you cant take another fast pass ticket for another 2 hours, by which time the fast pass ticket system is closed! Just a little bit ridiculous, and thanks to that system we spent 7 hours in the park and managed to visit 3 attractions, all 3 of which were pretty pathetic anyway! haha.
Again, it could have been just that particular day, but I never want to visit that place again. I'll stick to USJ or Expoland from now on, at least Osaka seem to know what they are doing!

Ive actually been on that one too! I got no thrown-off feeling, however I do remember something lacking in the design, as I had to fight the shoulder bars under G-Force and my knees were close to buckling...
