Shyaddup and take that nipple outta yer mouth!
Well, in response to MeestahJ's disturbed blurb about the newest craze in caring for your unwanted offspring, I thought this would be another good one to "throw out" (Bddum Tsstst). For all you soon to be parents out there intent on living your lives as the Japanese government deems fit, here's another PSA from our friends at the DIET.

Turns out the government has decided AGAINST releasing a plan that encourages breast feeding and discourages the youth of the nation to watch so much TV and be constantly tied to cell phones and the internet.

That's right ducklings, listen to the government. Get that tit out of your mouths and suck on the remote control for a while. That'll learn you all up reeeeal good. On both accounts I for one adamantly disagree, but then who am I but a peace loving hippy weakling, content to sit around all day sucking on boobies under the shade of a Jacaranda without the subtle hypnosis of a television in the background with its well woven tapestry of junky patriotic ideology and endlessly repetitious advertisements.

That's right kids, I may be veritable vagina, (due to spending too much time at me dear mam's mams) but given the options I'd rather be a softie than a steel celled, beer swizzling robot. For a good example of a bottle feeder, look at Homer SImpson. Lazy, stupid, insensitive, bigotted, and completely aloof. Basically most of the things that make us American. For a prime example of a breast feeder, think Richard Simmons.

On second thought... judging by the number of guys I've seen in the past week in pink tights with prettier hair than Boy George, maybe the government knows what its doing on this one. Lets hope so, because we're about to be faced with a whole society of young adults who have been socialized to believe (and do) everything their government says is "right." And we wouldn't want any love between a mother and her child to get in the way of that now, would we?

Ah, like babies in a dumpster, my blurb barely saw the light of day before being smothered. At least it was by a boobie.
I'm missing the connection with Russel Simmons, though. You're not thinking of flamboyant, short-shortie, sweating to the oldies, peaking in the coke-fueled 80's, fading into obscurity, how the F did this happen to me, gay ol' Richard Simmons, are you?

Yeah, thats the one... Thanks I'll go ahead and correct that right away. And dude there is no way to smother a baby. Well... You know what I mean. It was a response, not a smothering.

you guys.. know that I love you when I say..

Your articles are utter babble. I think perhaps blurbs should be a little clearer on the topic..

Just a comment..

Oh LostInKyoto...you and your OZ like ways of puppeteering from behind the curtain. Know that it's love when I say regimenting blurbs is truly where utter babble resides. The word blurb itself conjures up thoughts of ejaculate, which we all know follows no rules. Unless it's about shooting it in someone's hair.

My thoughts are that strict topical guidelines are for the forums, which is not to say that blurbs should be without topic (which both magdef's & mine both have), but they can also be a shot of humor that one can enjoy in 20-30 seconds time. After all it is a b-b-b-b-b-ba-ba-ba-BLURB.

Just a response...

Blurbs are for blurbing this is true - but you also need to make it clear what is being blurbed about. As an example I'll take yours meestahJ, nowhere in the blurb did you actually mention what the topic was, and the only way to find out was to visit an external link to another website. Obviously this is not what we want.

In short, Blurbs should contain the topic, our opinion, extra mystical blurb you want to add, and then a link for further reading should the reader want more information than you've already provided.

Joe, I can see your point. Blurbs should definitely contain at least the bare minimum of factual information about their topic. Especially considering that "Japan Times" articles are only available for a short time before they are locked and become inaccessible. As far as LiK's comments go, I feel that I have actually said something of import beyond the cut and dry factuality of the article in my blurb and that it is worth while to read both the Japan times article as well as my take on the most recent of the Japanese Government's foolish descisions. As far as MeestahJ's article is concerned, he makes light of a very serious topic, thus alleviating the severity and making it accessible to a wider audience in a very digestible manner (albeit offensive). In short... for you to call our words babble, much less "utter babble" is a bit uncalled for. And my response is that you should find the biggest dick in the vicinity (you might have to go outside for this one) and eat it. Dick.

Some people don`t take criticism well, I see. Your blurbs are a bit incoherant. Sorry if that hurts your feelings. I know you guys have your own style, as do we all. However, it would be nice if people could understand what you are talking about without clicking on links.

Perhaps qouting the material a bit would help clear things up? Or perhaps making the blurb title a little clearer?

Hey.. why dont we move this discussion to the forums?
