K11 Project is releasing a series of movies designed to make us more aware of the terrible atrocities going on around asia. The first of the films is called Holly and will be released soon. I hope it makes it all the way to Japan, if not you should probably just download it. Spread the word, and do what you can.

I felt moved after reading about another project designed to actually take action and rescue the children, illegally or not. Most charities get the kids out of the brothels, only to have them recaptured within weeks or their family to resell them. The Blood Rose and White Orchid campaign hope to build an island to take the children and rehabilitate them. Please support them in any way you can.

Say hello to my little friend ~ K-AK47!

The world should note the hand-crocheted shoulder-stock muffler and the anodized titanium plating.

Goes perfectly with the "ideal for town and country shopping sprees" kitty APC,
I'm sure.

A perfect gift for the young lady of the house. A bargain at only $1072.95!

Sonna no wa Kankei Ne!Here he is, nigh naked and bouncing to the beat of his own demented drummer. Kojima Yoshio is the new hot thing in the Gennoukai, or World of Entertainment. He dances, he gesticulates madly while screaming, he raps, and he rolls his eyes in a terrifying and amusing manner. His main schtick is screaming `What the #@!# does that have to do with it?!!!` after saying a short and silly story. He must be seen to be appreciated, and he MUST be appreciated. This is the pinnacle of variety comedy, a one-man fusion of manzai, gesture-based gags, and rapid rap. Pure comic Gold.

dead nova bunny

According to one troubled Kyoto employee, staff haven't been paid for this month. Could be an indication that they are indeed going into liquidation soon. Word from management has claimed this months wages are delayed until the 19th at the earliest, but who knows? Is there a punchline to this joke? Doubt it.

Please take a moment to appreciate my artists impression of what will happen to the Nova bunny. Do you know how hard it is to draw blood trails on a trackpad? <--------------this hard--------->

The Shinz

Japan's Prime Minister is using the English skills he procured while going to toga parties at USC to share his innermost thoughts with the adoring public.

So far he has covered such topics as Kobayashi's stunning loss in the hot dog eating competition, the nuclear reactor leak, comfort women, Koizumi's sex appeal, his Jenna Bush crush, and American erections.

Best read from earliest to current.

After a short spell of downtime and reorganising, oldSushi Blurb is Back with a Vengeance!!! We've made some changes that are sure to help become an even better Blurb.

Lots of the changes are cosmetic and make things just work a little better, but the best change is now all oldSushi Members are Blurb authors! You can all contribute! Just signup and you're away!

Hopefully this will mean a larger volume of varied content since we have such a wide range of writers. Great!

Some of you may remember a while back some talk about photographing and fingerprinting foreigners visiting Japan... Well it's here finally! In effect by November everywhere in Japan, special computerized machines at immigration will scan your face and hands. I hope my ugly mug breaks their machine. The reason is due to the rise in "multiple simultaneous terrorist attacks" throughout the world. The computers will cross-referencing your prints and photo with a list of suspicious persons.

The video explains it all, but you'll have to follow the link as the government makes it really hard to steal:

New Immigration Procedure Video

Also, and this is the kicker - it will identify foreigners that keep trying to get in illegally. ie, on repeat tourist visas etc. Holy sushi-roll, ManBat! That means YOU!

"What if I refuse to be fingered or photographed?"

"If you refuse to be fingerprinted or photographed, you will be denied entry and ordered to leave ^_^

"Ok~! I'll pass it on to my friends too!"

iblard

Released on July 4th as straight to DVD and Bluray, Ghibli's latest movie is a partnership with the artist Inoue, who also worked on the arty sequences in "Whisper of the Heart". Details about the plot of Iblard are sketchy, and the best I could find was:

A project about Inoue’s imaginary world Iblard. Fragments of forgotten memories... Nostalgic days that are sure to come again... Iblard is made of such elements.

You can check out the trailer and try to decipher more youself, over at the official website @ iblardjikan.jp
